Tips on Jump-Starting Another Car

Regardless of how good we think our car batteries are, eventually batteries run out of charge and die. Knowing how to jump-start another vehicle can mean the difference of getting back on the road quickly or waiting for a tow truck. Stop at Bay Mitsubishi and allow us to give you some battery tips.

Jump-starting a battery is simple once you know what cables are for what. The positive (usually red) cables must go to the positive terminals of the good battery and the dead battery. One end of the negative cable goes to the dead battery’s negative post and the other end of the negative cable goes to some piece of metal near the engine. Start the car and allow it to run for a one to two minutes before removing cables.

If you believe your battery may be having some issues, pay our Panama City, FL shop a visit and allow us to inspect and/or charge your battery.
